Plastic Clamps for Better Wire Mounting or Routing
Plastic clamps are of great use both in private as well as commercial sectors, where proper management of wires and cables are important. They are usually used to mount and route the wires for proper maintenance, and management. With their huge demand in various industry sectors, today you would find these plastic hardware devices in many different varieties. The most popular among them are:
- One hole or two hole clamps- these usually come in two varieties molded and extruded plastics. They are great for both basic and unique product applications. Additionally, you can also get them made in various shapes and materials. You can either stick them to walls with adhesives or insert nails in the holes to keep them securely intact in the wall.
- Standard Adhesive Backed Clips & Clamps- as the name suggests, these varieties of plastic clamps have easy to peel adhesives at their back, which make them easier for use. These plastic clamps too come in many different types of materials like nylon, optical fibers etc. The market is profuse with innovative designs that come with ratchets to (to prevent slippage) and with easy locking option. Then there are snap-in clamps that get closed as soon as the desired function of inserting wire/cable is over.
- Wire Bundling, Securing & Protection devices– apart from plastic clamps, there are also many other hardware devices that offer excellent solution for protective wire/cable management applications. These include such hardware devices as cable clamp snap clips, cable clamp ratchet snap clips, nylon twist locks, spiral wrap, split tubing, hole grommets etc.
While most of these hardware devices are reusable, you have to be very careful while using them. Make sure to get varieties that have easy locking and unlocking facilities to allow addition and removal of any wire or cable easily. Some manufacturers have gone really innovative with a type of plastic clamps that can be adjusted depending on bundle diameter. You can also get inbuilt spacing clips to prevent the wires from getting in contact with each other. Again there are those that have cushion pads to prevent cables/wires from vibration and slippage. If your area of operation involves dealing with such factors as heat, weather, chemicals and radiation, then it is recommended that you should get Fluor plastic clamps or cable ties.
All plastic clamps or clips are popular among a diverse group of consumers that include electricians, installers, technicians, OEM’s, Do-it-Yourselfers (DIY), hobbyists and many others. Not only do these hardware devices make cable or wire management easy just like wire nuts, but also help in saving precious space and make the whole setting aesthetically pleasing.
