Remote Control Technology-An Era of Automation
Wireless industrial controls are such a device that is used to control gigantic machines. These wireless devices use radio signals, digital pulses, or infrared light to send signals from the transmitters to the receivers. Sometimes an antenna is attached to the receiver with radio frequency devices in order to improve reception. Apart from that rugged housing or standard enclosures are also used to protect sensitive components. Nowadays, remote control technology has improved so much that most of the reputed engineering companies are adopting wireless industrial products for their business.
There are some industrial remote control technologies that include only a transmitter such as a keypad, paddle, push buttons etc. However, most of the wireless systems only include a receiver. Sometimes, the complete systems include a matched transmitter-receiver set called a transceiver. There is a variation in wireless industrial remotes in terms of performance specifications, configurations, transmitter displays, and receiver displays.
Performance specifications of the wireless systems include various numbers of inputs, outputs, and channels; as well as operating frequency range; and operating distance. Operating distance is measured in feet (ft), it is the maximum distance at which working transmitters and receivers can be placed apart. As far as the device configurations are concerned, some industrial remote controls could be handheld or portable. Others may mount on a console or sit atop a desk or workbench. Typically the transmitter displays include analog indicators, light emitting diodes or digital readouts. Usually analog meters can be seen in receiver displays. Digital readouts, or video displays generally use either cathode ray tubes (CRTs) or liquid crystal displays (LCDs). You can also get Multi-line forms as they are also easily available.

remote controls. Some devices run with computer programmable method where some devices are battery powered as well electrically shielded. Others have a weatherproof housing or they are designed to control the machines even in extreme environments with high levels of temperature, humidity, and dust. Intrinsically safe devices will not create a spark and they are designed for using in areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere. Apart from that other safety features even include emergency stop switches and overrides in order to prevent further damages. Today there are such organizations that approve or certify remote control technology according to standards for safety.
Remote control technology
is used in many applications as well as engineering industries. Some instances include aerospace, agriculture, automation, construction, data acquisition, and forestry. Wireless industrial remotes are also used to control material handling equipment such as hoists, cranes, lifts, and winches. Basic devices are used to control pumps and machinery. Some other specialized products are used in shipyards and by the military.
